2 Stars Sad Attempt..
STOP PUTTING OUT MUSIC NOBODY KNOWS!!!! We love guitar hero, and we have World Tour, which so far is our favorite one, but it would be nice if they released these by themes, like Popular Rock Music of the 80’s, or Popular Rap Music of the 90’s or something to that affect. I know only a few songs on this game, and I am not interested in playing songs that were never popular before…hello, if it wasn’t popular then what makes you think we would like it now?!!!! My kids are also big time fans of guitar hero, and I paid $60.00 bucks for this one and they played it once and claimed it was the worst one yet. Didn’t like it at all and they haven’t touched it since. Big waste of money, Big waste of time…will be more careful next time!!

5 Stars Challenging Fun For All Ages
I’m new to GH altogether, but am improving nicely. I’m mostly playing at the Medium level and scoring in the mid-to-upper 90’s on many songs. GH5 is very challenging and I particularly enjoy the Party Play. I had been selecting Career or Quick Play mostly…..but the past few days I have gone with Party Play and find it to be really great because it selects the songs for me and I just play away. This is a nice new feature for GH games!

All in all….the game is really great with neat graphics…and well worth the investment. (I already have World Tour, Smash Hits and Aerosmith) I’m looking forward to improving my skill over time. BTW…I’m no kid…I’m a Sr 64 years old and love GH immensely!!!! Can’t wait to get my free Van Halen game too!

4 Stars More of the same…
This game has a decent set list. The songs are a bit all over the map as far as genres go. A few of them are more lame than usual, but is to be expected, I suppose. All in all… these games are still fun to play. The game play (on expert) seems a bit easier this go around, but some of the songs still seem impossible (which is a good thing, I guess).

When I purchased this, there was an offer for a free copy of GH: Van Halen. That game actually showed up in the mail, yesterday, and it is surprisingly fun. I’m not a huge Van Halen fan, but some of those songs really are classic. And some of the non-Van Halen songs are pretty good, too.

In conclusion… I would have to say I got my money’s worth from this original purchase.

4 Stars Guitar Hero 5
My son really liked the game and said it had a lot of fun songs on it.

2 Stars Really enjoy Guitar Hero, but game-play glitches ruined it for me
I’ve been playing the Guitar Hero series for several years now, and had been anticipating this volume. I like the diverse song list, and the option to download more and play others online. However, I have run into an odd glitch that I’m having trouble finding support for online. While playing a song, the notes and screen will pause and jump periodically while the audio continues, causing missed points, etc. I’ve been to the official website, and currently have a support request in, but can’t seem to find support beyond “exchange the game” which I’ve already done.

If the game functioned properly, I would give it a much higher rating. For reference, when I tried playing World Tour to check the Wii, it worked perfectly.
