Fantastic game. My kids, wife and i enjoy it a lot. We sing along and the screen video plus playing the instruments makes it great.

Rock Band is great without the Beatles and the Beatles are great without Rock Band, why not bring the two togeter? This game is great.

I don’t know. I don’t know. But I believe we all do. “Something in the things she shows me”. God, those lyrics are entrancing. You could have heard it time and time again, perhaps in a pub somewhere or over someone’s car radio as they passed you by and it’s always the same reaction. I am not speaking of an exact emotion or feeling but something just happen inside us all. It’s like that swirling of energy, sort of like those butterflies fluttering around when you’re with your special person that can’t be explained or examined. It just happens.
I was asked earlier why during the sixties was there so much going on and a tremendous passion for life. An innocence that has seemed to have passed us by, becoming an unwelcomed visitor in these troubled times. I was a small little lad, tiny and smiling but I do remember songs that took my smile and turned it into a glorious beaming sun. My mother use to say I would sit on the floor and clap my hands together to tunes and swing my feet. Music has been, to some, a part or chapter in our lives where it was associated with events or emotions that affected our lives perhaps to this very moment. Every time I hear “Something” it makes me feel emotionally overwhelmed and tears of the past form in my eyes for I recall dancing with my mother on an afternoon in the fall. But it was beautiful since it’s my memory and the way that sound touches me is amazing.
The Beatles is what I wish to tell you about. The wonderful, new Wii game called “Beatles ROCKBAND”. Now, you have to be a fan of the music and of the dance that the creators of this game which you to follow along to. I truly love the music and the game brings you into this magical world that has translated itself from the notes and melodies you have heard your entire life into a colorful ballad of flowering sun’s and majestic clouds of delight.
The game play is very similar to the other Guitar Hero style of games except with a lot of added features and being immersed into this magical, Terry Gilliam esque visuals, mixed with great characterizations of the band members themselves. You really get the feel of being part of the band and playing, singing along. Of course, for the avid fan, there’s a tremendous amount of information about the band, given as rewards for playing and just smartly placed throughout the game.
They say in the song, “Will our love grow?” Well, your love for this game will for it catches you in a mood that will carry your dreams of a time ago and to begin to rebuild that beauty that once was in your mind and body. So, turn off your computer, pop in a CD or power up the Wii for John, Paul, George, and Ringo want to create a little havoc in your world and make you wish that you would have stayed at band practice or remained in music class at all. Join the boys and play “The Beatles ROCKBAND”.
Your appreciation with grow for the music like my love always does. Relax your mind and free your body, as they say in the song “Within You Without You/Tomorrow Never Knows”, “this is not dying”

My kids, myself, and many friends and family are all having a great time playing this game. Also I think that it is a lot of fun that my kids and grandkids are being introduced to the music of the Beatles, that I remember so well from my childhood.
