Official Wii Component Video Cable

Official Wii Component Video Cable

The Wii Component Cable links your Wii console to your TV, allowing you to view and enjoy your games with the best possible image display. Component video splits the signal into three separate channels of video information for the ultimate connection quality. The cable includes five connectors – three for video, and two for left and right stereo audio.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Cable Does It’s Job
We were looking for a Wii component cable for better resolution on our new television, and to offer a few options on our limited video connections. The cable works as advertised – the games are crisp and clear.

While there may have been cheaper alternatives, buying it directly from the manufacturer is much better than having to deal with the possibility of a defective cable.

5 Stars Works great!
My Wii looks much better when using these cables rather than the composite (yellow, white, and red) cables that it comes with. I agree that the $27 price is a bit high (I got mine used at a local GameStop-like store for ~$15), I believe that it’s worth it for the better picture quality.

5 Stars It does what it should do.
This isn’t a game and it isn’t particularly fun but the product does what it should do. You’ll see an enhanced picture because the chroma and luma channels are separated out so there is less compression in the signal. I’m very happy with this.

5 Stars Nintendo Brand – Stick with this!
I had purchased third party component cables, and although mostly fine, I experienced screen flickering about every 15 minutes or so, which turned into a major annoyance after an hour or two of game play.

When I returned them and got these, the problem no longer happened.

Keep the Nintendo brand piece of mind and avoid the headaches. If you are undecided whether to purchase these or a third party brand, go with these, you won’t regret it.

4 Stars Good
I bought this cable to fix delay issues (video/audio delay coming from the game system during the conversion process was messing up timing games) I was having after installing my Wii on a new Insignia HDTV. After some research, I found that adding a composite cable, switching the Wii to HDTV mode and putting the TV on Game mode SHOULD fix this issue, and seems to have helped quite a bit. From a quality of picture perspective, I haven’t noticed much of a difference. I think this cable is a good idea to own, though, for anyone with an HDTV to optimize your playing experience from a delay standpoint. For an official Nintendo cable, you can’t beat this price on Amazon.
