Wii Bowling Ball

Wii Bowling Ball

Turn every Wii bowling experience into a perfect 300 with the Bowling Ball for Wii. This ultra-realistic accessory, allows you to mimic all the critical motions a ’striking’ performance requires. This Wii peripheral is the first of its kind to be fashioned after an authentic bowling ball, turning your wii-mote into the optimum performance-enhancing accessory! To operate simply press the release button to open the ball in half, place the Wii remote (even with a Wii Motion Plus adapter, if you have one) inside and close the ball. Once the remote is set inside, plug the three holes with your fingers, as you would a bowling ball. Lastly, make sure to wear the wrist strap securely around your wrist, lock the strap to tighten the hold, preventing the ball from accidently flying out of your hand, and you are ready to bowl virtual strikes like a Pro! The finger inserts are horrible in so many ways. First of all my 16 year old average weight brother cant fit into the advertised as “too fit any finger size” finger inserts. Second of all you have to change them out every time if someone has big fingers and the other person has small.

My brother and I come from a medium class family who cant afford bowling the 50 bucks minimum each week. He wanted to join a league wasn’t in the budget, saw this on yahoo news and thought WOW!. He cant used it properly because it is falsely advertised as can accommodate any finger size. Now I understand if the person is overweight or something but my brother is actually underweight. Seems like its for younger children or slimmer adults. Would love to purchase larger finger slips for him. Nintendo if you ever read this, please consider larger finger inserts, this really wasn’t cool. I know that you cannot afford to include them in every box, but I would be more than willing to pay extra money to make the kid happy.

He wasn’t your average 16 year old, and honestly this whole thing hurts. Most people are going to say stop complaining and return it. I don’t want to return it! I want him to be able to play with it. He has severe OCD and we just got him to play the Wii again after being afraid it had germs. He was so excited such a joy kill.

2 Stars Gutter Ball
When it has came down to CTA, they haven’t actually made some good access ories for Nintendo on the Wii, and some extra special ones for the Nintendo DSi. But there are some one that just feel like you’ve wasted your money on. That honestly is the case with the Wii Bowling Ball. This device while it might seem like a good idea, it actually feels like a bunch of loose pins. While the Wii-mote works well in the set, the problem is with the bowling ball attachment, and that it makes the gameplay much more difficult to master with Wii Sports and other great bowling titles. However, that isn’t it alone, the bowling ball honestly feels like a waste of money mastering your way to a strike in any bowling title. Not to also mention that some of the buttons on the ball, don’t honestly work as well as the Wii-mote does alone. I really suggest you absolutely pass this ball up, and try to strike alone with the Nintendo way.

1 Star The video makes it look like a great idea…
Pros –

It does give you the feel of bowling.

It’not heavy

The strap is perfect

Cons –

don’t expect to share – once you have the finger adapters set for your fingers it is a pain to swith with someone who is using different adapters.

The pacement of the B button is too low. My finger was hurting from the odd angle by the second game.

Great idea needs some disign fixes.

1 Star Good concept… but not fully thought out
It appears that the marketing & research department at CTA concluded that only right handed people enjoy wii bowling because this accessory was clearly not designed for left handed people. For lefties, the B button needs to be used with either your ring finger or pinky which is highly uncomfortable and frustrating to use. If you’re left handed, either learn how to bowl right handed or skip this product.

5 Stars very real to the feel
This is a lot of fun. Very real, good thing for the strap on the wrist. You want to throw the ball.
