User Ratings and Reviews

3 Stars Tennis game not strictly tennis
The actual playing is fun but the options along the way (sink ships, go shopping, etc) are kind of boring. The competion of the actual matches are good but you have to do some of the other stuff in between matches. Game itself is fun and I do get some exercise while playing which is why I bought it.

5 Stars Wild Tennis
Although my arm hurts and I did not learn how to serve properly, I had a lot of fun with this game.

I recommend it.

5 Stars Very satisfied
The product arrived on time and in perfect condition. The game is very entertaining. We are very pleased with this purchase.

5 Stars Great Tennis!
I purchased this game as a gift for a friend. She loves it…plays it every day to move up in the rankings. Well worth the money!!!

1 Star Not realistic – athletically
I played competitive tennis in my 20’s and 30’s – 4.5/5.0 – which is extremely good. The motion plus for this game is good, but a couple things about the game are so annoying it is completely un-enjoyable for me.

First, the pop-up on the screen that is suppose to help you time your shot is great idea – except the fact that the pop-up actually conceals/obscures the ball so you can’t see it.

Secondly, the speed of the game is ridiculous. Perhaps a professional athlete could keep up; but for the 99.9% of the people who will play this game, they will not be able to keep up.

Lastly, regarding the speed of the game, it is so fast that you have to play basically with reduced arm and body movement – essentially use your arm and wrist (like racquetball).

Anyone who plays tennis (and is any good at it) knows that footwork and torso and shoulder rotation is what generates the power, accuracy and placement of a tennis ball. This game is so fast, there is just no way to move the body into a correct tennis position. I actually think it could hurt one’s physical game to play this virtualized version.

In someways Wii Sports tennis better mimmicks the physcial movement of tennis than this game.

I’m hopeful Grand Slam tennis will be an improvement. If you are looking for a virtual tennis game that matches the physical movement of tennis, this isn’t it.

Some will say get over it – it isn’t suppose to match the real life version. I say, that is what the Wii franchise and Wii motion plus are suppose to be about and from that perspective this game misses the mark.
