4 Stars Good charging station, but…
Pretty good charging station, however the wrist strap tends to get in the way when placing the controller on the charger. Also the need to remove the (optional) silicone grips from the controller adds another step prior to charging, which makes the base a less than optimal storage solution. All in all it’s a good setup with just a few inconveniences.
5 Stars Very convenient accessory, agree with other reviewers about the hassle with removing the silicone jacket
Perhaps a must-have accessory for all Wii-owners. I did a fair bit of research on Wii charging stations before settling for this one based on previous reviews. The item does its job and saves a ton of money by eliminating the need for batteries. Easy to set up, convenient to use, does exactly what it is meant to. However, I absolutely agree with other reviewers about the hassle of removing the silicone jacket every time you need to charge the remotes. The company made an extended battery cover which helps, but it would be REALLY helpful if they could make the charger work with the silicone jacket on. Perhaps make a small hole on the back of the silicone jacket which allows the remote to make contact with the charging station? Just a thought, but that would make this product perfect.

This works well enough for recharging the controllers but is a pain in the butt if you want to leave the silicone jacket on or have the cord harness left on the controllers. The silicone has to be removed and the cord just is cumbersome. For this reason it got 3 stars
4 Stars Product needs improvement, but overall is a good buy
The good thing about this product is that it comes with everything you need to re-charge your wii remotes, so thankfully, I’m not buying new batteries every few weeks. Two remotes charge at once, which is very convenient and there are lights on the front of the charger to indicate when the charge is complete.
The single negative for us is that it’s difficult to place the remotes in the charger correctly to get the charging process started. Our remotes often tip over and off the charger, or they may charge for a while, and then it appears that they lose contact, so we have to adjust them again so that charging will resume. This may be due to the strap on the wii remotes — we have to fiddle with them to make sure they’re out of the way each time so that the remotes will charge. Other than that, we’ve been happy with this product. I’ve already saved enough on batteries over the last few months that this product has paid for itself.
5 Stars Great product! No more batteries to buy!
I’ve owned this charger for 1yr+ and have had no problems with it. The batteries recharge quickly and the charge lasts a long time. I haven’t had to buy and discard regular batteries which is good for the environment and saves $$$. The only downside: the skin has to be partially removed to enable charging but I don’t know of a charger that works with the skin in place.
