5 Stars Works Perfect with PS1 Namco Tekken Arcade Stick
The one that Eforcity sells is fully compatible with my original Namco Tekken arcade stick that was for the original Playstation (PS1). The adapter itself works as advertised with no conversion lag with Street Fighter IV (4).
The only downside is you need a PS2 controller with the analog button in order for the arcade stick to work as it should. But this method saves me $70 – $150 bucks on ordering a current gen arcade stick that’s probably not as good as the classic I’m using.
4 Stars cheap and works with PC
I tried this adapter because I was getting fed up with the poor quality of gamepads manufactured for exclusive use with a PC. A friend told me that PS3 controllers are supposed to work well with a PC when plugged in the USB port, and I have a spare PS2 controller from a broken PS2 console, so I took a chance.
It works almost flawlessly. There’s an almost imperceptible delay in my setup. I don’t think I would have noticed it if I hadn’t been looking for it. Other than that, it was immediately recognized by the PC, and everything works like I would expect.
I’m running Ubuntu 9.04, so I can’t speak for the Windows users, but I don’t see any reason Windows wouldn’t also recognize it.

I have 5 PS2 controllers and when I got a PS3, I didn’t see the need to shell out $50 per controller so I can play with friends once in awhile. I ordered these adapters so I could just utilize my old PS2 controllers when friends come over. I use it for NBA 2K8 and FIFA 08 and they work great!
Even though with shipping the total cost is $6, I would recommend getting the one by eforcity here. Thinking that all these simple adapters are created equal, I bought two more at a local video game shop and unfortunately, the analog control sticks don’t work on those (even though the light comes on). So do be careful if you try to buy from another vendor. All I know is… the ones sold by eforcity work.

i was going to buy a second ps3 controller, but saw this adaptor. bought it instead and i must say it works great, just as advertised, saved me a few bucks. (i have a ps3 120gb)
