User Ratings and Reviews

3 Stars Not what it claims to be…but somewhat entertaining anyways.
I asked for this game for Christmas thinking I was going to be taking care of a cat, and was very disappointed when I found out that it was a cat adventure game. The product box was extremely misleading, and the DS version of Catz is not even close to the same game; it is more in line with what I was looking for.

Having said that, it was somewhat fun. I liked that it was easy enough that even someone who is horrible at playing most action video games(me)could get all the way to the end without cheat codes. I also liked that I didn’t have to remember long strings of buttons to push in order, or have to push many buttons at the same time, because I do a lot better with games that don’t require either of those things. I liked that it explained in detail how to do things and that if I forgot what I was supposed to do or forgot how to do something I could look in the menu.

I liked that I could dress up my cat; that there were so many different kinds of cats to choose from; the warp feature(otherwise the game would have taken three times as long); and that it asked me to save, and also gave me money, after every quest.

On the other hand, I wish that there was something else to do with it after you get all the way through it, and I wish there weren’t so many dialogue movies to read.

I will be reselling it and buying either “The Sims 2: Pets” or “Purr Pals” because I have beaten this game, and they are more in line with what I was looking for originally.

All in all, it wasn’t a bad game; I would recommend this game to someone who likes cats, can read, and isn’t good at heavily action oriented video games like Mortal Kombat or wrestling. Just don’t expect it to be a pet care game, because it isn’t one.

2 Stars Pointless
My kids don’t get this game and frankly neither do I. Aside from choosing the type of kitten they’d like to be there isn’t any real fun to be had here. Ages 7 and 5, both were quickly bored. We are not experienced gamers but this one was a dud.

5 Stars LOVEEEEE IT!!!!!!!!!
I am Michael’s daughter and I absolutely AAAAADDDDDOOOORRRREEEEE this game!!!! This game has adventure and gorgeous, smooth music from the beginning. I hum the songs every day. My FAVE part is the endgame. IT IS SO FUN! Anyways, if you think this game is where you pick and raise a kitten and give it love, you will be DISAPPOINTED. There are 60+ quests to save your cuddly kitty world. The story line is basic and smooth and I adore the adventure.

For a long time your wonderful kingdom of cats has had peace from the power of the magic hat. Your father, Arvin, is its protector. Suddenly one day Ivlet, an evil (AND SO COMPLETELY AWESOME) wolf comes to your village, and allows himself to be caught in order to steal the magic hat. You and your mischievous friend Victor visit him once in the day and then at night, so you can see him awake and moving around. He tricks you into bringing the magic hat so he can steal it. He destroys your village (which is sad, but it looks AWESOME cuz Ivlet is throwing fireballs and floating!!!), but nobody dies. You get arrested. Your friend bails you out, but he gets arrested instead!!! That part was sooooo sad. Anyways!!! You then go on a huge adventure- Even PAST the village of Pawville- To save your cozy world and right a TERRIBLE wrong. On your travels, make your cat cuter with accessories (you have to wait until you repair the fashion house), meet other cats in faraway lands like the Polar Fields, Inferno Cave, Monolith Isle, and other places. Along the way Ivlet turns the magic hat more and more evil- Endangering you and your world even more! I HIGHLY recommend this game to all ages as soon as they know how to operate the wii or if they are older. The only way I would NOT recommend this game to certain kids is incase they get nightmares or get scared easily, Ivlet would freak them out.

Anyways the music is gorgeous and smooth, like a practiced symphony and not like one of those other cheesy-music games. There are so many instruments and it is so detailed. The gameplay is AWESOME and the adventures and quests are enjoyable and actually relaxing, not like one of those games where you have to stand up to shake the wii remote a million times and twist and turn it over and over. Overall I would recommend this game to ALL!!!!!

4 Stars Pets Catz 2
This was a fun game, but I didn’t like some of the controls on the Wii. It was hard to navigate around in some parts of the game. My kids love the game alot.

3 Stars Perks and disappointments for Catz 2
I’m an 11 yr old boy who helps my little 7 yr old sister w/ this game. It is a little creepy, though. There are a few parts that I wouldn’t recommend for young children. For instance, one day while playing the game, I was rounding the corner and got the heck scared out of me when I saw a grizzly bear charging at me. Another instance was when I was up in the mountains on some sort of mission. Suddenly I found myself surrounded by about 10 poisonous snakes. I barely managed to make it out of there in one piece.

There are some perks to this game, though. For instance, you can customize your cat’s appearance with different clothes. Here are a few different, fun costume combinations. Use the brown denim jacket and brown ten-gallon hat and your cat can look like Indiana Jones. Or make your cat look like a Coast Guard officer by using the white lifejacket, white sheriff’s hat, and white flight goggles. You can also make your cat look like royalty by choosing the red leather jacket and the crown.

I hope this has helped you.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Great work out for the arms!
This game uses nunchucks and you are constantly working out those arms! I’m still trying to get used to the swimming and diving part as well cycling but let me tell you, you will be tired but in a fun way! Great game if you are challenging someone to a race. Great buy!

5 Stars Love this game
Personally, I love any game that involves competition and medal/award winning. There are so many events in this game and each competition is pretty unique. There is also the ability to create a custom competition and compete in only the events you choose. This game (at least for me) is not one that you master on the first time you play it. It takes practice. You are able to play alone against NPCs or with up to 4 people. It is a great workout for the arms and shoulders. I really enjoy it.

3 Stars Unless your a gamer
Unless your really into video games, you’ll find this pretty hard to play. The graphics are great but it throws you into 3-D mode in the middle of your play. Definately for a more experienced player than me.

Wii sports and Wii games is a lot more user friendly and very fun.

2 Stars Not worth the price
First, let me say that I love athletic-type games. I thought the Wii would bring the sports even more to life. Unfortunately, I found it difficult to get the hang of it. I tried to focus on one sport, i.e. diving and read the directions, followed the on screen directions, and then attempted it. After 30 minutes, I was frustrated and ready to give up.

Thinking it was maybe just that one event, I tried one of the running events. I got the same result. Perhaps I was not following both directions correctly, but I found myself getting more and more frustrated with this game.

I want to note that I am an avid runner and I keep in shape. Others have noted in their reviews that this gave them a great workout. I agree that it will give you a workout, but only attempting to learn how to do the event.

4 Stars Good game you will get a workout
This is a good game you will work your arms in some of the events. Most of the events are really fun and a good workout. One player and two player modes are really good. Learning how to do some events can be tough.Creating a person that looks like you is tough. Some of the motions don’t match the events but most of this game is really good.

Deal or No Deal

Deal or No Deal

You have one question to answer in this videogame based on the popular trivia show: Deal or No Deal? The hit TV show comes to your favorite video game system. The premise is simple: You have 26 briefcases in front of you. Each one contains a different amount of money. Open each case one by one, and try to find the briefcase with the biggest amount of money. Deal Or No Deal?

User Ratings and Reviews

1 Star Extremely Cheaply Made. Save your 20 bucks
This game is pathetic.

First of all the controlls are the worst I’ve ever seen on a Wii game. Instead of being able to use the arrow keys on the Wii remote to select cases you have to point the remote and click A. This is extremely difficult even on my 47 inch flat screen. It would be next to impossible on a smaller TV.

Second, having a Howie in the game is neat, but he says the same things every single game and it gets SO ANNOYING!

Third, the heavily advertised “Be the Banker” feature is so pathetic the game would’ve been better without it! It has a set limit for the offers high, and low, from the computer’s choice, so you can only go a couple thousand dollars in either direction from the computer’s offer, so it’s no different than letting the computer pick the offer!!!

Zoo games took so many shortcuts on this game it’s not even funny. With a little extra work this game could’ve been the best game out there for Wii.

This is one of the worst 20 bucks I’ve ever spent, RENT BEFORE YOU BUY!!!!

5 Stars Deal
Deal or No Deal is so much like the real television game. No matter who chose to be the contestant, either myself or one of my 5 oldest grandchildren, we all get so involved youn would think we were actually winning real money. You cannot tell us we are not on live TV in front of a million people winning real money. It is so much fun. Anyone can play no matter the age.

2 Stars The models are very immodest!
I decided to buy this game because it is rated E for everyone so I thought my young children would enjoy playing it. The models that open the cases are animated but very immodest. Definitely not for young viewers if you care about that sort of thing…which I do. This is my favorite game to play online but I only got through one wii game and decided to get rid of it because of the way the models were dressed.

5 Stars Wii for the whole family
Fun for the family. We love this game. It is not as good/fun as the machines at the arcade, but at least you do not have to pay every time you play.

3 Stars Don’t Expect Big Thrills, But Some Moderate Fun
I really enjoy the show so when I received this as a gift I was excited. Like other reviewers said, the first couple of times you play it’s fairly thrilling. After that you get tired of hearing the same voice “open the case” and you’ll push the “a” button to skip Howie all together. This takes away the anticipation, and therefore, the thrill. There are “mini” games and by “mini” they really mean “MINI”…there are only three. Shoot cases for money, black jack, or something else that escapes me now so it must not have been fun. All in all, it’s just okay.

Wii Fit Plus

Wii Fit Plus offers a range of new features and enhancements to help players reinvigorate their workouts, along with exercises and balance games designed to keep them fun. Players will find a new dimension to the Wii Fit experience as they easily set their own customized workout routines or choose 20-, 30- or 40-minute workouts based on how much time they have available. Users will also be able to choose from specialized workout routines that focus on an individual’s personal fitness goals or certain target areas. And with the addition of activities like Skateboarding and Rhythm Kung Fu, players will be using the Wii Balance Board accessory in a variety of new and fun ways. Players also can see estimates of calories burned and can even activate a feature that lets them weigh their dogs or cats Software only – Wii Balance Board is not included!

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Improved, probably worth the $20, still not perfect
When the original Wii Fit was released, I found it to be enjoyable and good for light exercise, but I thought there were some obvious–and seemingly simple to add–features missing. Most notably, I wanted to be able to customize a workout without having to select exercises one at a time. My primary interest in Wii Fit Plus was therefore due to the customizable workouts.

As others have mentioned, there are 15 new games/exercises that are grouped under a new category called “Training Plus”. I have found them to be pretty good overall; some are fun, some are good exercise, some are both (I especially like the Obstacle Course and Island Cycling). There are three new Yoga exercises and three new Strength exercises; honestly I haven’t even looked at them since they were not a strong selling point for me.

There is a “locker room” available in which you can choose pre-programmed routines, which are generally three exercises of a 6-8 minute duration in all that are targeted towards a specific goal (Warm Up, Relaxation, Hips, Arms, etc.). These can be combined but not further customized.

You can create your own routine under “My Routine” within the locker room as well, and as that was my primary interest, I will elaborate. You can choose any combination of strength and yoga exercises; the total minutes will be calculated for you. Once you begin the routine, the Wii will automatically cycle you through your exercises one after another. This can reduce the total time spent dramatically; for example, suppose you want to follow the Push Up/Side Plank with the Jackknife. Before, you’d finish the first exercise, grab the remote and press A several times while getting your score, ranking, feedback, encouragement, etc., etc. Then you’d select the other exercise, get out of the floor and stand on the board for a few seconds, and then get back down in the floor. Now, you just wait in the floor while the second exercise loads. MUCH faster, and with enough exercises in a row you actually can feel like it’s a real workout. I would estimate that doing 30 minutes of activity now takes 5-10 minutes less of actual elapsed time.

However, there are still some obvious flaws with the new implementation. First, you can only select strength and yoga exercises; no balance games, no aerobics, none of the 15 new Training Plus modules. Second, you can only have one exercise routine per Mii. If you want an upper body workout and a lower body workout separately, you’re out of luck. Finally, you are defaulted to the minimum number of reps, and you can’t change that. If you select Jackknife, you’re doing 10. Ditto for lunges. Push Ups? You’ll do 6. I can’t imagine that it would have taken much effort to allow that extra level of customization.

I like the Wii Fit Plus overall, and I think it was worthwhile. But, the fifth star would’ve been so easy to earn from me, and it came up short.

5 Stars Little Changes, Big Improvement
I am a Wii Fit fan but there was always frustrations with how fluidly the program could be used. To my satisfaction, these problems have been fixed.

I always found it annoying when changing users that you had to go all the way back to the Wii Fit Plaza, in Wii Fit Plus you now have a button to click called Switch. Clicking this will allow you to select a different user. When the other user does a workout all the fit cash goes to their player.

Calibrating was always a pain. Wii Fit Plus does not seem to have to re-calibrate the board as much as before.

Customised Routines

You can now create customised routines, albeit only using the yoga and muscle workouts. If it was only time based i could understand this option, however since it can be set using calories burned too, i feel that you should have been able to have custom routines using the balance and aerobic games too. This is probably the only downside to Wii Fit Plus.

Price

Price, OMG the price. What a bargain. Wii Fit Plus contains everything from Wii Fit and 15 new games and also new muscle and yoga exercises. I only paid $23.65AUD for mine (I bought game only). I was expecting $60 or more. If more games were priced like this, there would be more sales and less piracy.

Games

The new games are so much fun, I think i like them more than the originals. I enjoy all of them. In the original Wii Fit, i didnt think the Zen balance game was any fun at all and i wasnt a fan of the snowboard.

Wii Fit Plus has a few that i really love playing but i do enjoy all of them with no exceptions. The juggling balance game is lots of fun but also frustrating. I love the Snowball throwing game, i especially love hitting Mii’s on my system. I would says its my favourite overall, but then i do love the balance games.

There are more games that use the nunchuck than the original. The Rhythm Kungfu and Parade are along the lines of the Step games in the original and lots of fun.

Final Words

Highly recommended. At the price i got mine for I would have been made to not buy it. In the two days since i have done more than 2 hours.

2 Stars Disappointment
I was first in line thinking this was going to be a huge seller! Jokes on me. They had tons of them. I can swee why. I was hoping for way more new fun activities maybe throwing in some Pilates. All the same old stuff. yeah okay some new games and I will admit Cycling is fun as is the ‘fu’ dancing. Other than that a total snooze. Even CardioFit which was boring to me was better than this!

5 Stars Wii Plus is a winner!
Love it! Ever dreamed of flapping your arms and flying? You can with Wii Plus. You can bicycle around WuHu Island, have a snowball fight, or even be a circus juggler. There are target specific workouts to try out. You can customize your own workout or let the Wii board choose for you in five minute increments. Only got a minute to get weighed in? Wii Fit Plus can do that! New is the MET feature and Wii Piggy will keep track of calories burned too. For less than $20, this is a “must have” for Wii Fit owners. Wii motion plus attachment not needed for this program.

5 Stars This upgrade is well worth it!
If you are already a Wii Fit user, this upgrade (DVD only) is well worth the money. For less than $20, you maintain all the original Wii Fit options, plus a lot of new ones. This upgrade brings in your current profile and scores, keeps track of calories burned, adds 15 more games – some are really good for me, others I’m not too interested in. You can customize your workout; however, it only includes Yoga and Strength – that was a bit disappointing, but not worth downgrading this rating. It does not take that long to navigate to what you want. They changed up some of the original activities – for example, the longest Island lap is now a bit shorter, which is nice since there is now a bigger difference between it and the 10 minute free run. The long Island lap is now about 7 minutes, which is a nice in-betweener for me! They also changed up the scenery which was a nice touch.

Overall, if you have become complacent with the Wii Fit, this is a nice change and will keep your interest for a while longer.

Wii Remote Controller

Wii Remote Controller

The Wii Remote Controller makes gaming as accessible to people of all ages and all abilities. Nintendo fused the familiarity of a remote control with the sophistication of motion-sensing technology — creating a multifunctional device limited only by the imagination. In a tennis game, it serves as your racket you swing with your arm. In a driving game, it serves as your steering wheel. For first-person shooters, the remote acts as your weapon that you point at an enemy. The list of potential uses goes on and on.

User Ratings and Reviews

1 Star Empty box
I wish I could review this product but when my package came in, the box was empty and the product wasn’t in there.

I was very upset to the point that I decided not to deal with it and to not order from amazon.

5 Stars Pretty Standard Stuff
I ordered two Wii remotes. They arrived and worked. Pretty straight forward. Now four people can play Mario Cart…

5 Stars Original Wii controlers are the best
As a original component for Wii, that is surely the best option, for Wii players.

5 Stars Out of stock local, but here quick and priced right from Amazon.
Like the title says. Wanted it today, had to wait until tomorrow. It is fun to have four remotes for the Wii for Wii parties (better than karaoke.) 8-)

3 Stars Worked as expected after replacement
First one I received did not want to work for certain hand motion. Because of Amazon excellent Customer Service, they replaced for free including no shipping charges. The new I received works well as expected. Over all, we are happy with it.
