User Ratings and Reviews

1 Star Strong plastic smell
This Madcatz dance pad gives off a strong plastic smell. Unfortunately we won’t be keeping it. Will have to look for one from the original manufacturer of the DDR bundle.(Konami)

5 Stars Great Pad
This is a great pad, it does not move when playing and it works great with the Wii.

5 Stars Awesome!
I bought this product as a second dance mat for DDR for the Wii. It is so much fun for the kids as well as the adults in the family to use. Set up was easy and it works as well as the mat that came with the DDR bundle.

1 Star Wii Dance Pad stand alone!
This was a Christmas gift for my daughter but it was a real disappointment because it comes with nothing, just the pad. You have to purchase the software separately. We’ve not got around to doing this yet and so it remains untried and untested.

4 Stars Virtual kitten simulator
Purr Pals can best be described as a virtual pet simulator for feline lovers. It does a decent job of this by mixing both the fun and responsibilities of caring for a kitten, and could be used as an “edutainment” tool for teaching children what’s involved in being a pet owner. After selecting a breed and customizing various attributes, including naming the virtual kitty, the player must monitor the kitten’s needs, such as love, food, play, etc., and respond accordingly. Playing games with the kitten earns money which can then be used to buy various items, including essentials, toys, and accessories. There’s plenty of fun to be had with Purr Pals, but again, it’s more a pet simulator than a game in a conventional sense. The visuals are cute and reasonably good for the Wii hardware.

1 Star UGH frustrating game!
I bought this game for my 6 year old Daughter’s birthday

She isnt into the sports or other mainstream games so I was hoping this would be a more relaxed just go and do what you want.

First off the graphics and interactions are more on par with a $20 game- cheap and very unimpressive. the games are no fun and actually difficult.

My daughter just got penalized and lost $ for not doing enough with her cat and she has only been playing like 20 minutes!!!!! And the things she lost $ on were al things she did with the cat, or tried to. = not that she can actually earn a decent amount to buy anything but flea spray cause the cat always has fleas!!!! This is by far the WORST video game I have bought for any of my kids on any system!!

It isnt even like she can just roam each room and just play this game is very lame on it’s interaction as well.. She has to ALWAYS go to a differnt screen to do anything! which is choppy. Your child should probably be a decent reader, is isnt very obvious what you need to do or when at all.

1 Star Poorly designed game in almost every way,,,
This game was impossible for my 4 and 6 year old daughters to play. It takes a very high level of control just to click buttons on the interface screen. The interface buttons are also placed too close together so sometimes when you want to look at the status of your cat you instead end up pressing the button to discipline the cat by spraying it with water.

Most of the mini-games which are played in order to earn money to buy stuff for your kitten are either extremely difficult, extremely boring, or both. There is a guitar-hero type mini game in which the notes fly across the screen and you have to point and click and hit each note…it takes an incredibly fast, but steady hand to do this even marginally well.

Probably worst of all is that only one player can play this game as it allows for only one profile overall. That single profile can have up to 5 cats which would be fine, but the problem is that once you buy the first cat you have don’t have enough to purchase another. So you have to play the frustrating mini-games a hundred times which gives you on average 50 cents at a time in order to buy another cat that costs $90.

Also, there are is no option to set up play for left-handers like my older daughter.

This is now the worst game that we own. So far, the Wii Sports game that came with the console is still the best overall out 9 different games that we have.
